Dr. Yarr has over thirty years of experience in sustainability, climate change, and social responsibility. He has played a leading role in the University of Strathclyde's initiatives in achieving net zero goals, most notably, a £20m Combined Heating and Power scheme to reduce the carbon footprint of the university’s main campus.

Previously, Dr. Yarr worked as a Sustainability Manager at the University of St Andrews, where he oversaw the sustainability policy and development of strategy, including the twelve MW Kenly Wind Farm and six MW Biomass plant.
