Doing Sustainability
Pushing the Boundaries of Sustainability in Sports and Entertainment with Kristen Fulmer
February 14, 2024
In this episode of the Doing Sustainability podcast, Gary Baker and Roxanne “Rocket” White are joined by Kristen Fulmer, the Head of Sustainability for Oak View Group. They explore how sports and entertainment venues can illuminate important issues through sustainability, and discuss the need for personalized and relatable solutions for each community (debunking the misconception that it is always an added cost). Kristen also delves into the differing roles of leadership and grassroots efforts in driving change. Kristen is the Head of Sustainability for Oak View Group, the largest developers of sports and live entertainment venues in the world. Through her architecture, construction, and development expertise, Kristen mainstreams sustainability in sports and live entertainment and is dedicated to inspiring positive change. Kristen was the Founder and CEO of Recipric, an agency that integrates sustainability and wellbeing solutions into existing properties. In this role, she worked with teams such as the Chicago Red Stars and the Portland Sea Dogs on green initiatives. Kristen has been working in sustainability for over seven years.
