When optimizing your cloud hyperscaler expenses, there’s a massive difference between workload optimization and rate optimization. We put tons of effort into the performance of our workloads to control usage, but far less attention is paid to how much we pay for that usage.
And we’re not talking about the size we buy — we’re talking about the minor incremental changes that can be accomplished algorithmically throughout the day to ensure that you are paying less for the usage that your workload generates.
In this episode of The Bridgecast, Scott interviews Chris Cochran, co-founder and CEO of ProsperOps. the tech scene in Austin, the importance of automation in cloud optimization, and the value of rate optimization in reducing cloud costs. Chris shares his experience starting the company and offers advice for entrepreneurs. We also talk about AI's potential and future in cloud optimization.
ProsperOps’ is a hands-free AWS cost optimization platform offering customers a solution to automatically reduce their AWS cloud costs with zero ongoing effort. Their mission is to remove complexity and deliver savings outcomes so every business can prosper in the cloud.
