#014 - Scaling and Teaching: Lessons from 17 Years in Design with Anthony Ferrara
In this episode of The Inflection Podcast, I chat with Anthony Ferrara, Principal at Oxy (web software, branding, mobile app and website design). We discuss creativity and what Anthony has learned in the design process that led him to where he is today.
Anthony started design when he was 15 and has been a freelance designer most of his career. Mentors have played an important role in how Anthony has learned to run his own agency. He is proud of the high quality work and positive culture moments he sees in his team.
In one of my favorite segments of this episode, Anthony shares the stages of learning and emphasizes the importance of recognizing that improvement takes time and effort. He shares his own experience of going through the stages of learning in various subjects, such as running a business and in leadership. He explains that recognizing these stages has helped him not to quit too early because he understands that learning and improvement are necessary processes.
